The brand challenge
Horizon Investments is a champion of independent financial advisors and the clients they serve. Advisors trust its people, investment products, and technology solutions to help them manage and grow their practices. Advisors rely on Horizon’s Gain, Protect, Spend™ framework to help their clients achieve and enjoy their retirements.
Yet its brand fell short of communicating the impact on advisors’ practices or their clients’ financial portfolios. They needed to tell the Horizon story in a way that communicated their unique combination of investment solutions, technology, and people.
The brand solution
Brand Zoo’s strategy simplified the Horizon story to communicate in a more comprehensive and cohesive manner, thereby resonating with financial advisors, employees, and external business partners. We created a narrative about empathy for the challenges that financial advisors confront as portfolio strategists and client hand holders, while simultaneously trying to build their businesses. And a tagline – Fueling Advisor Growth - about the expertise and solutions uniquely matched to helping advisors.
The design language and visual system extend and amplify these ideas, with typography, graphics, and a color palette that are clean, modern, and convey forward-thinking and innovation. The stylized letter “H” in the logo suggests a bridge, symbolizing connection, support, and Horizon’s role in helping advisors grow their practices.
